We are ‘electrical beings’, with thousands of biochemical reactions happening inside us all day long. Eating alkaline foods gives our bodies what they need to thrive and the acid-alkaline balance of our bodies determines how healthy, energised and to a large extent how happy we feel.
How many people do you know and come across day-to-day who are overweight, unhappy, stressed out, ill, tired or simply just not enthused by life? If you’re anything like me, it’s a lot. Maybe you’re one of these people? If so, no dramas – you’re in the right place. I have lots of resources to help you be the best YOU that you can be. The YOU that you deserve to be 🙂
We can often look for very complex reasons for why we are not living at our optimum health and vitality but the answer is usually quite simple.
We’ve all heard the saying “You are what you eat” a million times. But do we really get the gravity of what this means? It means that everything you put into your body will eventually, a day, week or month down the line, become your body. It literally forms the cells and tissues that make our hair, skin, brain, lungs and everything in between. Furthermore, our food plays a huge role in how our minds work – how we think, how calm we are, our ability to concentrate or not etc.
It is so tempting to get sucked in by media, advertising and medical industry hype on how to look and feel better – buy this dress or car, have this manicure, join this club, take these pills, have this surgical procedure… the list is endless.
The true beauty of the alkaline diet is its simplicity. Eating more alkaline foods and cutting back on acidic foods is simple but devastatingly effective on improving health and well being.
In fact, one of my all time favourite quotes is “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. This phrase applies perfectly to the alkaline diet and eating alkaline foods. It’s simple, easy and it works!
Eating Alkaline Foods is the Simplest Path to a Very Healthy Lifestyle
No matter where you are now in terms of your health and diet, or how you managed to get there, eating the right kind of food is the single most important thing you can do for yourself and your health and you can make some simple, changes that can yield good results in less than a week.
Alkalising foods will give your body the nutrients it needs and also allow you to restore and maintain a healthy acid-alkaline balance – essential for great health, healing and energy.
Insider Tip on Alkaline Foods…
How foods are determined as acid or alkaline is often counter-intuitive. I.e. foods we’d think of as alkaline – that may be alkaline in their physical form, such as milk and cheese – are highly acidic to our bodies and vice versa. E.g. citrus fruits such as lemons and grapefruits are alkaline foods because they alkalise our blood pH when metabolised.
Let me ask you this question: Would you rather make some easy, fun and tasty changes to your diet and lifestyle or would you rather have an invasive surgical procedure that drains you of time, money, energy and your long-term health?
I am asking this not to be provocative or harsh but because I want to see you have great health and NOT go though the heartache of things like chemotherapy or open heart surgery or taking diabetes medication for the rest of your life.
Making the switch to improve your diet by incorporating more alkaline foods does take a but of getting used to. But I guarantee that if you eat more of these foods and cut down on acidic foods for just 21 days, you’ll have formed an excellent new habit that could stick with you for life and potentially save your life and you’ll most likely see some good improvements in your well being in less than a week.
